Woman found living inside Michigan grocery store sign for about a year

A 34-year-old woman was found living inside the rooftop sign of a grocery store in Michigan while contractors worked on the roof.

The Midland Police Department reported she was formally trespassed from the store and was provided with information on services within the area, but declined options.

The store is set to work with her on retrieving her property that was inside.

Police said they believed she was living there for about a year.

The woman had a mini desk, a computer, a printer, a Keurig, a pantry of food and other miscellaneous items in the signage, according to police.

She was not charged.
