Jennerstown Speedway hosting 2nd annual Motor Mountain Masters

JENNERSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — This weekend the Jennerstown Speedway Complex is hosting its second annual Motor Mountain Masters.

The Motor Mountain Masters is a premier late model race and is one of the largest of its kind in the country.

Teams from about 17 states are taking part.

“So, what it does for Somerset County, it is definitely a huge boost in the tourism and the attractions,” said Speedway Complex General Manager Billy Hribar. “We had some teams come in from Connecticut, they went up the road to Flight 93."

The Motor Mountain Masters are kicking off Friday with an open practice.

Events will continue with a free concert at 9:30 p.m.

The gates will open for spectators at noon Saturday and the opening ceremony will begin at 5:55 p.m. After that, the qualifying heat races will start.
